A meeting between linguistic research and clinical practice.

PSYNUM was born from the encounter between research in psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics and artificial-intelligence technologies. The platform was designed to offer mental-health professionals a rigorous, multilingual and ethically framed working environment.

Philosophy

Linguistic analysis as a mirror of psychic functioning.

Its philosophy rests on a central idea: the patient's language is one of the royal roads to their psychic functioning. When artificial intelligence is placed at the service of fine linguistic analysis, it can become a tool for amplifying clinical reasoning.

PSYNUM models do not produce diagnoses. They support the clinician's thinking by structuring the analysis of the verbatim, suggesting interpretive avenues and facilitating case comparison — never reducing the subject to a set of linguistic markers.

Six objectives

Modernise clinical practice while preserving human listening.

PSYNUM aims to modernise the practice of evaluation and care in mental health while preserving methodological rigour and the independence of clinical judgement.

01

Strengthen the quality of assessments

Provide diagnostic decision-support tools grounded in psycholinguistics and neurolinguistics to strengthen the quality of clinical assessments.

02

Structure the report

Facilitate the production of a structured clinical report from a note or verbatim — exportable and integrable into the patient file.

03

Assess in the mother tongue

Allow the assessment of mental-health difficulties in the patient's mother tongue — an essential dimension for diagnostic accuracy.

04

Assist therapeutic conduct

Support the planning and conduct of CBT and exposure-therapy sessions from patient verbatims.

05

Guarantee absolute confidentiality

Stateless architecture, no patient data ever stored — security by design, GDPR-compliant.

Preserve clinical judgement

Maintain the primacy of clinical thinking over any algorithmic interpretation. The clinician remains the sole decision-maker.

Methodological foundations

Calibrated on decades of linguistic research.

PSYNUM tools are built on massive corpora of patient verbatims, annotated clinical interviews and theoretical models from contemporary research in psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics and predictive linguistics.

  • Supervised learning for the classification of linguistic markers.
  • Multilingual natural-language processing.
  • Vector-based semantic modelling & pragmatic analysis.
  • Clinical indicators validated by the scientific literature.

The platform applies the principles of interpretive prudence, clinical contextualisation and methodological transparency. The user retains, at all times, control of the analysis process and responsibility for the interpretation of the reports produced.

Ethical commitment

Respect for the patient, absolute confidentiality, multilingualism.

PSYNUM operates in line with the requirements of mental-health clinical practice, scientific research and data-protection legislation. A space for reflection designed to understand, evaluate and accompany — favouring prudence, nuance and responsibility.
